There are 66 designated vineyards in the wine region of Barbaresco D.O.C.G., in Italy’s northwestern region of Piedmont.

They are contained within three ancient, walled, hilltop villages: Barbaresco, Tresio and Neive.

These photographs were taken while walking in, around, and between these villages.
